Good Evening.  Please check out all of our updates for Wellsboro meet, Cannonball Invitational (Sun, July 19), WAHS Swimming Dunk Tank at First Friday, & Fundraiser Updates.

1. WELLSBORO MEET SATURDAY

1. 9:30 warm-up
2. 9:00 arrival
3. Packer Park Community Pool, Queen Street, Wellsboro
4. There is limited deck space, so tents are allowed outside the gate in the adjacent park.  
5. Saturday is a NEON theme.  Coach charley has face paint and neon beads for the swimmers. Please wear NEON, if you have any.  (We found neon t-shirts at Jo-Ann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby today for $4, if you're looking for NEON t-shirts!!!)
6. We will need to provide one timer per lane.  We still need 1 timer, 10 & 12 Girls Age-Group parents, and two officials.

2. CANNONBALL INVITATIONAL

• This is the most fun meet of the year!
• It is a WAVES fundraiser.
• We currently have 5 teams signed up (Loyalsock, Lock Haven, Selinsgrove, Williamsport, Jersey Shore & possibly Tri-Town).
• Everyone is asked to dress up as pirates or atleast have some pirate gear on.
• Each team will have 3 swimmers per event.
• There are 6 fun relays that are mixed with one swimmer from each age group...it is fun to see the older swimmers helping out and swimming with the younger swimmers.
• Please declare your swimmers on Sunday for this next Sunday meet.
• Coaches will make final meet event decisions.

3. CANNONBALL HELP

• We need donations from everyone.
• We need everyone to volunteer...timing, selling t-shirts and tattoos, working concessions, officiating, helping with garbage, security, 50-50, set-up/tear-down, awards, age-group parents, officials table, etc... (we will open up sign-ups on Sunday)
• Again, this is such a fun time...

4. CANNONBALL CLASSIC CARDBOARD BOAT RACE

• Each team is allowed to enter a cardboard boat for the cardboard boat race event.
• If your family is interested in constructing the WAVES boat, please let Coach Chad or Coach Charley know.  
• If we have more than one boat interested, families may enter an extra boat for $20 entry fee...
• Coach Chad has all of the directions for the boat race event...
• There is a trophy for the best and fastest boat.

5. COME DOWN TO FIRST FRIDAY DUNK TANK!!!!

• From 4-7:30 the WAHS SWIM/DIVE team will host the charity dunk tank at Pine Square outside of the Stone House and Brick Yard Restaurants.
• Come on down.  Try to dunk a HS swimmer or HS Coach.  Coach Johnson and Coach Charley are amongst the participants in the tank. 

6. FUNDRAISING COUPONS

• Hoagie Coupons will be available starting Saturday
• Mr. Stickey's coupons will be back beginning of next week.
• We will have these coupons in envelopes at practice (& at Wellsboro) for pick up. 

7. Finally, THANK YOU for your donations and for volunteering

• Thank you for volunteering to time, work concessions and officiate.  Please offer to do one of these in the next few meets.
• Concession Donations...Thank you, thank you, thank you.  Please keep donating we purchase equipment, storage, awards, gifts, end-of-year party and pay our Head Coaches and Jr. Coaches with monies raised.
• We have raised over $2000, so far this season.  This helps our team survive.  It defrays costs to help run the team.
