Practice Policies
Practice attendance is strongly encouraged. Like any other sport, the more practices an athlete attends, the better his/her results will be. However, our priority with summer swim is to teach basic swimming strokes and have fun! We want our kids to have lifelong memories of enjoying summer swim while learning about teamwork, commitment, achieving personal goals and feeling a sense of accomplishment. We are well aware of the scheduling difficulties of summer swim and will not punish a child for going to camp or relaxing on vacation. Just let us know, so we can plan accordingly. EVERYONE SWIMS! NO BENCHWARMERS!
Inclement Weather
We will practice in the rain. In the case of lightning and thunder we have to exit the pool and wait until directed by the lifeguard that practice can resume. If practice is cancelled an email will be sent. Please check email ,if questioning if we are still having practice. Every attempt will be made to notify parents at least an hour prior to the start of practice due to inclement weather.
