Williamsport WAVES Summer Swim Team

The Waves are part of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Aquatic League (GSVAL) which consists of teams from Lock Haven, Jersey Shore, Wellsboro, Loyalsock, Tri Town (Muncy Area), Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, Sunbury, Milton, and Selinsgrove.

Our competition season runs from June through July with approximately 6 meets during the season and then the League Championships the last weekend of July.

We have been averaging over 100 swimmers the last several years ranging from 4/5 year olds to 18 year olds and compete in the following age group categories in both boys and girls divisions: 8 and under, 9-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds, 13-14 year olds, 15 and over.

Our meets are typically on Saturday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

We are a competitive team, and everyone needs to be able to swim 25 yards, but we are also relaxed and a good opportunity to improve swimming ability and master the different strokes - backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
