Details for Selinsgrove meet tomorrow
Hi Everyone,
Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well! I understand that it was disappointing to postpone our first meet, but safety is our top priority, especially with thunderstorms. I just wanted to remind you about a few important details for tomorrow's meet.
First off, we still have open positions for various roles at the away meet. We need 12 timers (6 for each half), 6 age-group parents, and 2 officials. With 97 kids on the team and plenty of parents and family members, it's disheartening to see these positions unfilled. It's crucial for the smooth running of our meets, so please sign up for jobs on Swimtopia as soon as possible. Let's avoid having to assign jobs to people, something we haven't had to do in the past 10 years.
Our team's warm-up times are from 6 to 6:30, so please make sure to arrive at the pool no later than 5:30. Ensure that your swimmers are already in their suits with caps and goggles. Since it's the first meet, we need extra time to write events on the kids' hands, so let's avoid any last-minute rush and ensure our new swimmers feel comfortable.
When you arrive, look for your age group sign and have your swimmer sit in that designated area. Also, don't forget to bring along camp chairs, blankets for the grass, a sweatshirt or warm clothes, extra towels, an extra cap and goggles, an extra suit in case of any malfunctions, a pop-up tent, extra water, black Sharpie markers, and some money for the concession stand. It's important to note that this is how all the teams in the league raise money.
Lastly, parking at the pool is extremely limited to allow for handicap and emergency access. Please drop off at the pool, park at the high school, and walk up the hill. Thank you for your attention to these details, and I'm looking forward to a successful and enjoyable meet tomorrow.
Alysha.
